ZStreamReader Class (console safe)

To handle zip decompression (.gz format) on files or streams then use the ZStreamReader class.

Object
   ZStreamReader

class ZStreamReader implements

IBinaryStreamReader

IBlockReader

Constructors

ZStreamReader (console safe) One of 4 constructors for the ZStreamReader.
ZStreamReader (console safe) One of 4 constructors for the ZStreamReader.
ZStreamReader (console safe) One of 4 constructors for the ZStreamReader.
ZStreamReader (console safe) One of 4 constructors for the ZStreamReader.

Properties

Buffer (console safe) This property can be used to obtain or set the MemoryBlock that is used for a shared memory block based decompression.
CompressedBytesProcessed (console safe) This property returns how many bytes have been read and processed from the original uncompressed file.
CompressedBytesRead (console safe) This property returns how many bytes have been read from the original uncompressed file.
Position (console safe) Returns the cursor position within the stream.

Methods

Bind (console safe) To bind the Encoder to a IBlockWriter stream then use the Bind method. To do such binding then let both streams share the same memory block and then call the Bind method.
Close (console safe) To close the stream. The stream is also closed when it is deconstructed.
EOF (console safe) This property is used when decoding to determine if the end of the stream is reached.
LastError (console safe) This property returns the error code for the last operation. Zero means no error, another value means a file error. The code used by the File Manager, see Inside Macintosh at the Apple Website.
shared PluginVersionReturns the version number of the plugin.
ProcessBoundBlock (console safe) Use the ProcessBoundBlock in a loop to stream between two streams that have been bound together with the Bind method.
Read (console safe) To read data from the stream.
ReadBlock (console safe) Call the ReadBlock method in a loop to let the stream decompress data.
Seek (console safe) To move, relatively or absolutely, the cursor in the stream.
